Dr. Lertlak Leelaruangsaeng, Director of the Bangkok Medical Office, stated that they have continuously implemented measures to prevent and address sexually transmitted diseases, especially among the youth and adolescents in Bangkok. The approach includes 1. Providing proactive and reactive services by offering information and encouraging HIV and sexually transmitted infection screenings, and promoting awareness about preventing unwanted pregnancies among teenagers in educational institutions, entertainment venues, and target group gatherings. 2. Screening for HIV and sexually transmitted infections is accessible and free of charge for adolescents, high-risk groups, and those without rights. If infections are found, care and treatment are provided or referred according to medical coverage. 3. Promoting prevention using condoms, lubricants, and pre-exposure and post-exposure prophylaxis. 4. Following up with infected individuals for treatment and continuous prevention for high-risk groups to ensure negative results.

The Director added that a mobile sexual health service system has been set up in Bangkok to reach the public, reduce new infections, and decrease illnesses related to sexual health. Individuals with risky behaviors, such as unprotected sex or contact with potentially infectious bodily fluids, can get tested at the BKK Pride Clinic. Typically, the incubation period for the infection ranges from 2 weeks to 1 month. Testing is available twice a year, either through blood tests at healthcare facilities or using the HIV SELF TEST kit. Early detection and treatment help reduce the amount of virus in the body.
